Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.

 
 

Mount Kilimanjaro is actually a dormant volcano in Tanzania, apart from being the highest mountain in Africa it is also the highest single free-standing mountain in the world: 5,895 metres above sea level and about 4,900 metres above its plateau base. The mountain is only 250 miles from the Equator and is one of the seven summits and particular popular with climbers, we might see some whilst circling Kilimanjaro prior to landing in Ngorongoro.

  • Day 7 | Ngorongoro Crater

    Wake up as the sun rises over Kilimanjaro, that is what we call a breakfast with a view! From Kilimanjaro we make our way to Ngorongor, land in the crater and are driven to the andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for our two night stay. A special welcome dinner this evening. Laundry left on-board in specially provided bags will be cleaned and ready for your return.

  • Day 8 | Ngorongoro Safari

    Nearly three million years old, Ngorongoro’s ancient volcanic caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth. Endangered black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephant wander the forests, male lion stalk the grasslands and flamingo crowd the soda lakes. Today we undertake a full day Safari in the crater, visit to a Masai village and a enjoy lunch banquet on the crater floor.

  • Day 9 | Travel to Rwanda

    This morning we start our early flight to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, our day time flight will showcase the spectacular African landscape. Land at One & Only Gorilla’s Nest, briefing on next day’s hike to see the gorilla’s.
