Luxor, Valley of the Kings and beyond.
Egypt, linking Northeast Africa with the Middle East is a treasure trove of ancient civilisations. Like Mesopotamia it was the site of one of the World’s earliest urban and literate societies. Egypt’s strategic location has always made it a trade hub between Europe, Africa and further afield and with the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869 this role continued to increase.
